China ZD Cylindrical Gear Speed Reducer - Reliable Suppliers & Quality Factory Products for Various Industries
Product Application Scope
The scope of application for gear reducers is as follows:
- The high-speed axle rotation shall not exceed 1500 revolutions per minute.
- The circumferential speed of gear transmission shall not exceed 20 meters per second.
- The working environment temperature is -40-45 ℃. If it is below 0 ℃, the lubricating oil should be preheated to above 0 ℃ before starting. The gear reducer can be used for both forward and reverse operation.
Conditions of Use
- The gears are made of high-strength low-carbon alloy steel through carburizing and quenching, with a tooth surface hardness of HRC58-62. The gears are all machined using CNC grinding technology, with high precision and good contact.
- High transmission rate: single-stage greater than 96.5%, two-stage greater than 93%, three-stage greater than 90%.
- Smooth operation and low noise.
- Small size, light weight, long service life, and high load-bearing capacity.
- Easy to disassemble and inspect, easy to install.
Maintenance
- Regularly check the oil level: It is recommended to check the oil level once a month or every 500 hours of operation to ensure it remains within the specified range.
-
Regularly change the lubricating oil
- (1) First oil change: The initial oil change should be performed 36 hours after the first operation to remove metal particles generated during the running-in period.
- (2) Subsequent oil changes: After that, depending on the working environment and load conditions, replace the lubricating oil every 2,000 to 5,000 hours of operation or every 6 to 12 months. Under harsh conditions (such as high temperatures, excessive dust, or continuous heavy loads), the oil change interval should be shortened.
- (3) Oil change method: When the reducer is still warm (while the lubricating oil maintains good fluidity), drain the old oil and refill with new oil to the specified level.
- Keep clean and ensure the vent cap is unobstructed: Regularly clean oil stains and dust from the reducer’s surface, and inspect and clean the vent cap to prevent clogging.
- Fastening inspection: Regularly check whether all mounting bolts and connections are loose.
- Handling abnormal situations: If a sudden increase in noise, intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or severe oil leakage is detected, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Operation may resume only after the issue has been resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum speed limit for the gear reducer's high-speed axle?
The rotation speed of the high-speed axle must not exceed 1500 revolutions per minute (RPM).
How do temperature variations affect the operation of the gear reducer?
The normal working temperature range is -40 ℃ to 45 ℃. If the temperature drops below 0 ℃, you must preheat the lubricating oil to above 0 ℃ before starting the reducer.
What are the transmission efficiency rates of these gear reducers?
The gear reducers provide high transmission efficiency: single-stage efficiency is greater than 96.5%, two-stage is greater than 93%, and three-stage is greater than 90%.
When should I perform the first lubricating oil change?
The first oil change must be done after the initial 36 hours of operation. This is critical to flush out any metal particles generated during the initial running-in period.
What is the recommended interval for subsequent lubricating oil changes?
After the initial change, replace the lubricating oil every 2,000 to 5,000 hours of operation or every 6 to 12 months. The interval should be shortened under harsh conditions like high temperatures or excessive dust.
What actions should be taken if abnormal noise or vibration is detected?
Stop the machine immediately for inspection. Operation must only resume after the cause of the noise, vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or oil leakage has been fully resolved.
