China ZD Cylindrical Gear Speed Reducer - Reliable Suppliers & Factory for Various Industries
Product Application Scope
The scope of application for gear reducers is as follows:
1
The high-speed axle rotation shall not exceed 1500 revolutions per minute.
2
The circumferential speed of gear transmission shall not exceed 20 meters per second.
3
The working environment temperature is -40°C to 45°C. If it is below 0°C, the lubricating oil should be preheated to above 0°C before starting. The gear reducer can be used for both forward and reverse operation.
Conditions of Use
1
The gears are made of high-strength low-carbon alloy steel through carburizing and quenching, with a tooth surface hardness of HRC58–62. The gears are all machined using CNC grinding technology, with high precision and good contact.

Maintenance
1
Regularly check the oil level: It is recommended to check the oil level once a month or every 500 hours of operation to ensure it remains within the specified range.
2. Regularly Change the Lubricating Oil
First oil change: The initial oil change should be performed 36 hours after the first operation to remove metal particles generated during the running-in period.
Subsequent oil changes: Replace the lubricating oil every 2,000 to 5,000 hours of operation or every 6 to 12 months. Under harsh conditions (such as high temperatures, excessive dust, or continuous heavy loads), the oil change interval should be shortened.
Oil change method: When the reducer is still warm (while the lubricating oil maintains good fluidity), drain the old oil and refill with new oil to the specified level.
3
Keep clean & ensure the vent cap is unobstructed: Regularly clean oil stains and dust from the reducer's surface, and inspect and clean the vent cap to prevent clogging.
4
Fastening inspection: Regularly check whether all mounting bolts and connections are loose.
5. Handling abnormal situations: If a sudden increase in noise, intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or severe oil leakage is detected, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Operation may resume only after the issue has been resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
What is the maximum speed allowed for the high-speed axle of the gear reducer?
The high-speed axle rotation must not exceed 1,500 revolutions per minute (RPM). Exceeding this limit may cause damage to internal components and reduce the service life of the reducer.
Q
What operating temperature range is the gear reducer designed for?
The gear reducer is designed to operate in environments ranging from -40°C to 45°C. If the ambient temperature falls below 0°C, the lubricating oil must be preheated to above 0°C before starting the machine to ensure proper lubrication and smooth operation.
Q
What material and hardness are the gears made from?
The gears are manufactured from high-strength low-carbon alloy steel, processed through carburizing and quenching to achieve a tooth surface hardness of HRC58–62. CNC grinding technology ensures high precision and excellent contact performance.
Q
How often should the lubricating oil be changed?
The first oil change should be performed 36 hours after initial operation. Subsequently, replace the oil every 2,000 to 5,000 hours of operation, or every 6 to 12 months. In harsh conditions such as high temperatures, heavy dust, or continuous heavy loads, shorten the oil change interval accordingly.
Q
What should I do if I notice unusual noise or vibration during operation?
If you detect a sudden increase in noise, intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or severe oil leakage, stop the machine immediately and perform a thorough inspection. Do not resume operation until the root cause has been identified and fully resolved to prevent further damage.
Q
Can the gear reducer be used for both forward and reverse operation?
Yes, the gear reducer supports both forward and reverse operation, making it versatile for a wide range of industrial applications where bidirectional drive is required.
