China ZD Cylindrical Gear Speed Reducer - Quality Supplier and Factory for Industrial Applications
Product Application Scope
The scope of application for gear reducers is as follows:
1
The high-speed axle rotation shall not exceed 1500 revolutions per minute.
2
The circumferential speed of gear transmission shall not exceed 20 meters per second.
3
The working environment temperature is -40°C to 45°C. If it is below 0°C, the lubricating oil should be preheated to above 0°C before starting. The gear reducer can be used for both forward and reverse operation.
Conditions of Use
1
The gears are made of high-strength low-carbon alloy steel through carburizing and quenching, with a tooth surface hardness of HRC58–62. All gears are machined using CNC grinding technology, with high precision and good contact.

Maintenance
1
🔍 Regularly check the oil level: It is recommended to check the oil level once a month or every 500 hours of operation to ensure it remains within the specified range.
2
🛢️ Regularly change the lubricating oil
(1)First oil change: The initial oil change should be performed 36 hours after the first operation to remove metal particles generated during the running-in period.
(2)Subsequent oil changes: Replace the lubricating oil every 2,000 to 5,000 hours of operation or every 6 to 12 months. Under harsh conditions (such as high temperatures, excessive dust, or continuous heavy loads), the oil change interval should be shortened.
(3)Oil change method: When the reducer is still warm (while the lubricating oil maintains good fluidity), drain the old oil and refill with new oil to the specified level.
3
🧹 Keep clean and ensure the vent cap is unobstructed: Regularly clean oil stains and dust from the reducer's surface, and inspect and clean the vent cap to prevent clogging.
4
🔩 Fastening inspection: Regularly check whether all mounting bolts and connections are loose.
5
⚠️ Handling abnormal situations:
🚨
If a sudden increase in noise, intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or severe oil leakage is detected, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Operation may resume only after the issue has been resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum operating speed for the high-speed axle of the gear reducer?
The high-speed axle rotation shall not exceed 1500 revolutions per minute (RPM). Exceeding this limit may cause damage to the reducer and reduce its service life.
Can the gear reducer be used in low-temperature environments?
Yes. The gear reducer is designed for working environment temperatures of -40°C to 45°C. However, if the ambient temperature is below 0°C, the lubricating oil must be preheated to above 0°C before starting the machine to ensure proper lubrication and operation.
How often should the lubricating oil be changed?
The first oil change should be done after 36 hours of initial operation. Subsequently, replace the lubricating oil every 2,000 to 5,000 operating hours or every 6 to 12 months. In harsh working conditions — such as high temperatures, heavy dust, or continuous heavy loads — the oil change interval should be shortened accordingly.
What is the transmission efficiency of the gear reducer?
The gear reducer offers high transmission efficiency: single-stage > 96.5%, two-stage > 93%, and three-stage > 90%. This ensures minimal energy loss during power transmission.
What should I do if the reducer shows abnormal noise or vibration during operation?
If you detect a sudden increase in noise, intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise, or severe oil leakage, you should stop the machine immediately and perform a thorough inspection. Do not resume operation until the root cause has been identified and fully resolved.
What material are the gears made of, and what is their hardness?
The gears are manufactured from high-strength low-carbon alloy steel, processed through carburizing and quenching. The resulting tooth surface hardness is HRC58–62. All gears are precision-machined using CNC grinding technology, ensuring high accuracy and excellent contact performance.
